In Honor of Finally Famous, Here's a Trick Daddy Throwback: "Amerika"

Trick Daddy feat Society - Amerika
by foxysoul

Tonight is the Public County Budget Meeting where the people of Dade rise up and tell our local government what's important to us, and how we want our tax money spent.

Mayor Carlos Alvarez is a fucking asshole. He doesn't deserve the title. The real Mayor of Miami is T double D, Trick Daddy Dollars, and he's Finally Famous so buy his new album.

Here's an old song of his called "Amerika" featuring Society, of Yes-n-deed fame. Trick gets political as fuck on this one, and as far as I can tell it's not even on YouTube, so enjoy this video that you might not have seen otherwise. It's a classic.

Support the independent voice of Miami and help keep the future of New Times free.

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
