When New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg recently announced that he would ban sale of large bottles of soda in new York City, junk food junkies went crazy.

Bloomberg claimed medical studies have proven that super-sized drinks add to the obesity problems in America. He stated, "If you want a 32 oz. sugary drink, you can still buy two 16 oz. drinks." Solid advice.

But that's not good enough for a KillerCoke.org. The site includes hundreds of comments about the hazards of drinking Coca-Cola.

However, AmazinghHealth.com suggests that Coke is excellent for the following uses:

To clean a toilet, pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and let sit for about an hour before flushing. The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china. Now... you won't have to spend extra cash on expensive toilet cleaners.

To remove rust spots from a chrome car bumper, rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of aluminum foil dipped in Coke.

To clean corrosion from car battery terminals, pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

To remove grease from clothes, empty a can of Coke into your laundry load. Add detergent and run through a regular wash cycle. The Coke will help loosen grease stains. Then wash again to get the Coke out of your clothing.

The ingredients in Coke include phosphoric acid. The acid can dissolve a nail in four days. Coke distributors have been known to use Coke to clean their truck engines. Now what better recommendations can you possibly ask for than that?

Amazing Health highly recommends drinking water when you're thirsty.

Chef Michael Wagner, whose restaurant Lola's on Harrison was voted "Top 20 Best New Restaurants in Florida" by Florida Trend uses Coke in one of his signature dishes. "I have an American menu and I use iconic Coke which is an all-American product to sweeten my 'falling off the bone' beef short ribs. People think I tenderize the beef ribs in Coke, but actually I sweeten the barbecue sauce with Coke and clients agree that the ribs are absolutely delicious."
