Area 31's interior is one of understated elegance. Subtle details like iron spherical chandeliers and wood ceiling beams and furniture enhance the mostly beige, clean-lined room on the 16th floor of the Epic Hotel designed by Cheryl Rowley.

The lounge near the entrance of the restaurant, with its sand-colored leather banquettes, provides a zen-like refuge within the open room, which also features a display kitchen where food plating and preparation can be seen.

The private dining rooms are divided from the main room by wood portals. Inside, the rooms are encased by windows that sparkle at night from the multitude of lights coming from the surrounding buildings.

On the restaurant's huge outdoor terrace, you're also

treated to impressive views of Biscayne Bay and Brickell Avenue.

It is against this backdrop that dining takes place at Area 31.
