The club is hidden at the tail end of Grove Isle and has an inconspicuous look. Walk inside its large, front glass doors and see an unobstructed view of Biscayne Bay — visible throughout the property. Plan to spend the better part of the day at the resort, splitting time at its waterfront restaurant and pool.
The lunch menu is pricey, with dishes ranging from $15 to $40, but most can be shared among two to three diners. Conceptualized by former Seaspice chef Alfredo Alvarez, menu items highlight Spanish, French, Italian, and Greek influence with a wide range of options. Use the holidays and New Year, paired with the location, view, and resort amenities, to justify the restaurant's expensive taste.
Start the meal with a few appetizers. The wahoo crudo drizzled in tangerine vinaigrette, olive oil, and tarragon, along with grilled Spanish octopus with baby zucchini and piquillo peppers are a tasty combination.
Then, choose a few entrées to share. For seafood, consider the mussels in brodo soaked in a tomato garlic broth. One order contains about 25 to 30 mussels. Or try the seared brazino with baby zucchini and caramelized artichokes. For pasta, try the risotto of the day or ask for the red wine linguini in a truffle oil. For something less fancy, order the Wagyu burger topped with brie cheese or a classic margarita pizza.
End the meal with a selection of sweets. Order the chocolate feast with black and white ganache and chocolate
Choose to eat lunch poolside or in the hotel's outdoor portion of the eatery. It mimics a Greek-style restaurant with a white-and-blue design, located on a ledge with the bay a few steps below. Before or after you lounge at the pool, take a walk along the sidewalk parallel to the club to work off a few of those extra calories, even though they were worth every bite. The holidays were made for splurging, so take advantage while it lasts.
