Four years ago, Ultra Music Festival made waves when it split from the usual date range of Winter Music Conference. Traditionally, the festival and the conference took place during the same week. In 2011, though, the two entities feuded and scheduled separate stretches during the month of March.

Thus, the Miami Music Week was born, and over the years, clubs, promoters, the media, and fans alike have embraced the moniker.

Now, the folks behind Ultra and MMW are ready to take their brand one step further, announcing the first-ever Miami Music Week Hotel, a takeover of the Delano South Beach with six days and nights of pool parties and club bashes with Bob Sinclar, Dirty South, Oliver Heldens, Robin Schulz, and dozens of other DJs.

With Miami Music Week Hotel, the brand moves from plain music promotion to selling a full-on lifestyle. The trailer doesn't even mention a musical lineup. It's just a sexy girl walking around a fancy lobby with a stunned expression on her face.

Not to say music isn't at the heart of the venture. Along with hotel rooms for rent, the Miami Music Week Hotel will be programming events in two venues, the Delano's luxurious pool and the downstairs FDR nightclub, with all lineups curated by Diskolab. The pool parties give attendees a chance to get rowdy in daylight, while FDR picks up the pace after sundown.

Big Beat & Friends Miami. An official Ultra Pool party. Thursday, March 26. With Cash Cash, Clean Bandit (DJ set), Galantis, Hercules & Love Affair (DJ set), and others. The party starts at 2 p.m. and tickets cost $25 to $35 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up.
