It's not easy having eyes all over the scene, being around to take in all the wild visuals at all the worthwhile places in the city. There are, however, those parties and gallery openings where a fortunate photographer can point and shoot. Every week, in collaboration with WorldRedEye, New Times brings you a solid recap of all the recent experiences you may have missed around Miami. It's impossible to be everywhere, but hey, we can try to keep our Eye on Miami.
February 17, The Inaugural Botaniko Red Party, Hosted by Venus Williams
More than 450 South Florida VIPs gathered at the Botaniko Sales Gallery in Weston for Paint the Town Red: The Inaugural Red Party Benefit, hosted by special guest, athlete, entrepreneur, activist, designer, and pro tennis star Venus Williams. Dressed in their chicest red attire, guests of the invite-only affair mixed and mingled over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the four-time Olympic gold medalist and passionate founder of V Starr Interiors.

To celebrate the launch of the Sports Illustrated 2016 Swim Issue, cover stars Gigi Hadid, Chrissy Teigen, Hannah Ferguson, Nina Agdal, Chanel Iman, Hannah Davis, Robyn Lawley, Samantha Hoopes, Tanya Mityushina, Bo Krsmanovic, Barbara Palvin, and others made their way to South Beach for the fan festival  Swim Beach to promote the new issue.

February 18, Sports Illustrated Swim Models Private Signing at the Penthouse Residences at 1 Hotel South Beach
The Penthouse Residences at 1 Hotel South Beach hosted an intimate cocktail reception with Sports Illustrated swimsuit models Sofia Resing and Tanya Mityushina and invited brokers. Guests toured the 19 newly released luxury penthouse residences, mixed and mingled with the celebrated models, and received signed copies of the recently debuted 2016 issue.

February 20, Veuve Clicquot Carnaval 2016
Veuve Clicquot welcomed Miamians, celebrities, and champagne lovers to celebrate the international holiday of Carnival. The beautiful afternoon in Miami’s Museum Park was transformed into an oasis for the second-annual Veuve Clicquot Carnaval. Guests including Ciara, Gabrielle Union, Chanel Iman, Olivia Culpo, Nina Agdal, Prince Royce, Diego Boneta, Daniela Botero, Hassan Pierre, Kelly Framel, Sazan Hendrix, Natalie Suarez, Mariano de Vaio, and others.
February 20, Shemar Moore at Rockwell Saturdays
Shemar Moore joined in on the fun at Rockwell Miami last weekend. The night also marked an epic birthday celebration for Moët Hennessy’s Patrick Richards, which of course included seemingly endless bottle parades.
February 21, LeSutra Model Beach Volleyball 2016, Day Two 
Day two of the LeSutra Model Beach Volleyball tournament kicked off with blue skies and a packed house. Joe Jonas’ new band, DNCE, rocked the sands and had tournamentgoers singing along to this group's latest hit, “Cake by the Ocean.” After a grueling two days, 2BC Agency capped off the final day with an epic win and was crowned the 2016 Model Volleyball Champions.
