Spice, which runs from August 1 through September 30, is designed to encourage both tourists and locals to explore new restaurants with some value deals. The promotion also helps many restaurants get through Miami's summer slump, when attendance drops off as vacation dollars are spent in cooler climates.
The official 2016 Miami Spice website lists all restaurants, their participation days, and sample menus. A mind-blowing 243 restaurants will participate — way up from 181 last year.
Notable restaurants joining Miami Spice this year are Ariete, Beaker & Gray, Blue Collar, the Continental, Dragonfly, Kyu, Los Fuegos, NaiYaRa, PB Station, River Yacht Club, and the Sarsaparilla Club.
Returning favorites include Alter, Azul, the Bazaar by José Andrés, Pubbelly, Red the Steakhouse, Scarpetta, and Zuma.
