Welcome to the 'Wood, Brick House!

The bar may be Wynwood's latest watering hole, but everything about the drinking den is vintage, from antique National Bohemian beer cans to the building that it calls home.

Dating back to the 1920s, the house on 187 NW 28th Street has been around since the days of Prohibition. But now that the alcohol ban has been lifted (for, you know, the last 81 years), Brick House is free to be all about craft brews (35 to be exact, with 11 on tap) and small-batch whiskies.

Brewskies may be what lure thirsty Wynwoodians to Brick House, but the food doesn't lag too far behind. There's a munchies menu starting at $6 with crab cakes, lamb sliders, and ceviche to keep you going late into the night.

Obviously, though, a bar isn't complete without music. When Jean Jacket, Young DeVille, and other live bands aren't rockin' away on the brick patio, expect to hear killer tunes from the Rolling Stones, Arcade Fire, James Brown, Nicolas Jaar, the Doors, Cut Copy, and the Beatles blasting from the speakers, courtesy of 'Wood hood DJs.

Brick House just opened last weekend, but who knows what'll happen? The Vagabond is gone. And in exactly one week, Wynwood will have House, its first megaclub.

Guess you can say the 'Wood is taking over Miami's party scene.
