Just a few days after Lindsay Lohan filed a lawsuit against Pitbull for disparaging her name on summer hit "Give Me Everything," Mr. Worldwide announced plans to perform the song at the MTV Video Music Awards. It was a subtle way of saying, "Suck it, bruha."
Then last week, Pit issued a formal video response via PlanetPit.com, expressing his shock over the suit and even inviting the plaintiff to accompany him to the VMAs, saying, "Maybe we can figure this out."
No surprise, LaLohan ignored Dat Lil Chico's invitation.
But he wasn't gonna give up, insisting he'd leave tix at will call for Lindsay and suggesting a "Give Me Everything" duet could help rehabilitate her public image.
"Anybody who knows my reputation [knows I] don't do no publicity stunts. I'm not really about none of that," he told MTV.com on Friday. "So I said it, I meant it, and if she takes it, great. If she doesn't, cool. But she will have her tickets at will call."
When MTV asked if Pit and Linds might possibly tag-team on "Everything," the rapper answered: "That would be great, to be honest with you. That might just throw Lindsay Lohan through the roof. People would love her if she did that! But then again, that's just my two cents on her PR team and what they should be doing."
Sadly, LaLohan never RSVP-ed and her VIP passes went unclaimed at the gate. But the show went on without her. And as Crossfade predicted, the Dade County mike mangler didn't let himself get bullied by a peroxide-fried bimbo with an extra-litigious Hollywood lawyer.
In the end, Pit spit those "disparaging" and "defamatory" lyrics ("Hustlers move in silence/So I'm tiptoein', to keep flowin'/I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan") for a total television audience of 12.4 million viewers.
