The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne is singing a sultry tune on Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m., when the oceanfront sands of Dune Burger Lounge become a hang-out for locals. They went Brazilian last night with a bash that included carnival-style drummers and some seriously sexy ladies in giant headdresses of feathers (very showgirl sassy) shaking it as the sun set. Leblon offered complimentary caipirinhas, putting everyone in a really, really good mood. The property is truly gorgeous, and South Beach looks oh so far away, plus, there's a long stretch of empty beach for a romantic walk after the lights go down (admittedly, we love that).

Executive sous chef Carlos Cordoba has added a few new Mediterranean inspired plates to the menu, and since he's from Spain the plates have been designed for sharing (but the offerings are a bit pricey, this is the Ritz, after all). Cocktails will set you back $15 - $17, although beers come in at a more reasonable $6 for domestics, and $7 for imports. A delicious mezza platter with hummus, taboule, and babaganoush ($15) came with plenty of pita on the side, but our tapas plate with Manchego and a generous mound of Serrano ham ($18), had only two small pieces of tomato slathered toast. The lamb burger ($23) with goat cheese and a minty sauce was our favorite menu newbie.

This re-occurring event kicks into high gear next month when the "season"

is officially upon us. Cocktail offerings will shift weekly as will the

theme, check for updates on their newly launched Facebook page (which just went live last week).
