Eataly shocked readers over the summer of 2024 when New Times broke the story that the food hall would open at Aventura Mall in the spring of 2025. The Aventura location will be the first Florida location of Eataly. The Italian food hall is currently operating in more than 50 locations across 15 countries worldwide and has 12 North American locations. Hereford Grill, a longtime Miami steakhouse for over twenty years, will make its grand comeback this spring. The steakhouse will reopen under new ownership at 782 NW 42nd Ave. near Flagami in northwest Miami-Dade. Argentinian hotspot Niño Gordo, which blends Argentine cuisine with flavors from east and southeast Asia, will open in Miami this April, bringing its "high-voltage flavors, rebellious energy, and retro-sci-fi vibes" to Wynwood. Following the success of its Miami pop-up in Wynwood, where it still operates a ghost kitchen via UberEats, the renowned NYC pizzeria Prince Street Pizza is bringing its famous Sicilian-style slices and Neapolitan-inspired pies to Lincoln Road. Since debuting in New York City in 2012, the brand has expanded to locations in New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Las Vegas, and across Southern California. Popular New York Italian spot Serafina will open in downtown Miami at Miami Worldcenter this spring

Serafina, a popular New York-based Italian restaurant brand founded in 1995, is set to open at Miami Worldcenter in early April. Known for its pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and lively atmosphere, the chain has expanded internationally since its founding by Italian restaurateurs Fabio Granato and Vittorio Assaf. The new space at Miami Worldcenter is expected to include an outdoor patio, event area, and pizza oven for its famed wood-fired pizzas. Although the menu for the Miami Worldcenter location has not yet been released, previous Serafina locations have featured a mix of traditional Italian dishes, including cacio e pepe pasta served tableside in a pecorino romano wheel, truffle-laced tartufo nero pizza, dry-aged Kansas City steak, penna alla vodka, and chicken Milanese. On Friday, March 28, acclaimed chef Raheem Sealey of KYU and Drinking Pig will open Shiso, an Asian smokehouse in Wynwood. Inspired by his Caribbean roots, the menu will blend wood-fired barbecue with Japanese flavors, featuring bold dishes like "Shiso Chicken Please," a Cornish hen presented two ways: half smoked and half fried served with white barbecue sauce), and the "Oxtail Gunkan," a smoked barbecue oxtail layered with pickle relish, rice, house-made oxtail "ju-su" and wrapped in nori paper. The spot is said to have dimly lit lighting, a rooftop patio, an open kitchen, and a full bar with cocktails made by a mixologist.
