If you made it through the weekend without succumbing to heat stroke, congrats. Summer has officially arrived in the 305 and it's hot as balls out there.

Luckily you're back in the air-conditioned comfort of your cube for another week, with nary a whiff of fresh air. But, come nighttime's cooler breezes, you can explore some of the free, fun stuff happening around town this week. Enjoy.

Monday

  • Finding Mona Lisa reading at Zoetic Stage: Bet you never knew the famous female was hanging in a bath house for 50 years. And you'll learn lots of other stuff in this play by local playwright Michael McKeever.
  • The Influencers I at MDC Museum of Art and Design: Scope out works by some of history's greatest artists including Henri Matisse, George Rouault, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall and more. Miami has its share of masterpieces.

Wednesday

  • FYXD 305 ride at Omni Metrorail (Arsht Center): Get your easy, breezy 20 mile ride on with fellow cycling enthusiasts. That's one way to bring hump day to a climax.

Thursday

Friday

  • Book club at the Wolfsonian: Talk to other bibliophiles about The History of Mr. Polly by H.G. Wells. Because smart friends aren't easy to come by.
