Cute and cuddly Punxatawney Phil spit in America's face yesterday, letting our neighbors to the north know they'd be suffering through another six weeks of polar vortex hell. A pity.
In other news, it was 80 degrees and sunny here all weekend.
It's pretty clear we've all made the right choice.
In the spirit of loving where we live, here are a bunch of free things to do this week. Get out there and enjoy paradise already.
Tuesday
- Donation Day at Lowe Art Museum: Pony up whatever you can spare and spend some time at Miami's first-ever art museum.
Wednesday
- Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers at SoundScape: Remember when it wasn't all about Bilbo? Get a blast from LOTR past on a 7,000-foot projection wall.
Thursday
- Grove Green Market at Coconut Grove Playhouse Parking Lot:Emu eggs and vegan eats are always a win.
Friday
- First Friday jaunt at Collins Park ArtScape: Escape South Beach for an evening and explore the northerly territory of MB. Wander in and out of galleries and enjoy food, drinks and a dalliance or two, if you're lucky.
