There's a reason the Miami Dolphins pay Brandon Marshall all that money. He's a damn good wide receiver. That's a fact he reminded everyone of with his MVP performance in yesterday's Pro Bowl; the kind of performance we see far too little of when he's actually in a Dolphins jersey.
After the game, Marshall was pretty humble, and passed on the adulation to the AFC's Pro Bowl quarterbacks. It was a not so subtle way of Marshall reminding his bosses down in Miami that he'd like a decent QB to play with every Sunday.
Marshall caught four touchdown passes. That's a Pro Bowl record, and for it he took home the MVP trophy.
"Down in Miami getting a feel for different quarterbacks with having three or four throughout my two years there, the quarterbacks make it easy for me," Marshall said after the game according to CBS Sports.
When asked about how he'd feel if Matt Moore was the guy once again throwing the ball for the Dolphins next year, Marshall was diplomatic but made his point clear.
"Obviously, Matt [Moore] had a great year," he said. "You don't want to take anything away from Matt, but I think we really bring in somebody who can compete and make the team better."
You hear that, Steve Ross, Jeff Ireland, and Joe Philbin? You want Marshall to put on an MVP-level performance every game? Well, just sign a quarterback who will make it easy for him.
