Jesse Perez's Mr. Nice Guy Records Dejan de Comer Tanta Pinga! Second Anniversary Party

Once Miami succumbs to the polar icecaps and the city is well under water, only the 305's ass-clapping, booty bass legacy will float on. Well, maybe DJ Laz too. He's got a boat. And if he's lucky, Mr. Nice Guy Records himself, Jesse Perez, will be on that boat too...

Once Miami succumbs to the polar icecaps and the city is well under water, only the 305's ass-clapping, booty bass legacy will float on. Well, maybe DJ Laz too. He's got a boat.

And if he's lucky, Mr. Nice Guy Records himself, Jesse Perez, will be on that boat too. After all, you can never have too much "bump 'n' grind kinda shit," especially in the wake of a natural disaster.

What's a great flood without "Kiss Jesse on the Dick"?

"I always tell folks that all the good names were already taken," Perez told Crossfade in August. "But I think when you make raw shit, you can name a track anything that you want. And of course, I grew up listening to Luke and 2 Live Crew, Uncle Al, DJ Laz and everything booty."

And nowhere will that OG Miami bass influence be more prevalent than on Thursday, December 20, the eve of the apocalypse, when Jesse Perez and Mr. Nice Guy Records take over Mansion for their second-anniversary party.

As Jesse has always said: "We push a very distinct sound from what everyone else is doing. Some call it hood house or gangsta house. I refer to it as ass-clapping music or bump 'n' grind. It's all about having a good time."

Mr. Nice Guy Records' Second Anniversary. With Jesse Perez and friends. Thursday, December 20. Mansion, 1235 Washington Ave., Miami Beach. Tickets cost $15 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up. Call 305-695-8411 or visit mansionmiami.com.
