Last year's inaugural celebration of music, art, and technology was by most accounts a success. But some communication and organizational kinks are two things the III Points team is working hard to overcome for its sophomore 2014 edition.

Toward that goal, the fest's crew has been putting even more effort into the activations, the panels, the art showings, the tech incorporation, and of course, a whole lineup of rare musical acts to get music snobs salivating.

"We are definitely programming really heavy hitters to come to the neighborhood who haven't been here properly," says III Points organizer David Sinpoli. "That's definitely a focus of what we're doing, trying to bring things that either haven't been to Miami ever, or haven't come here properly."

But III Points is also all about the community of Wynwood. So expect to see plenty of your local favorites coming up in a big way.

"I know every day, every stage, everything will open up and be tied together with our local talent," Sinopoli insists. "We'll be keeping with the Miami homegrown."

Last year was a great proof of the concept, and the III Points organizer admits he was moved by the community-wide support and enthusiasm.

"I like how raw it was last year, how grassroots and how organic it felt, because it really was," Sinopoli says. "We're going to try to really keep that feeling, but take the talent to another level."

Now, with the musical lineup in place, the III Points team will turn its attention to hammering out the rest of the details to round out the experience and get their vision tight.

"We're taking the ideas, and the concepts, and the art a little more serious," Sinopoli adds. "With more preparation and more thought, we'll be able to deliver them in a way that has a bigger impact on what we're doing."
