Miami Veteran's Day Freebie Roundup: Lunches, Dinners, and Roast Beef Sandwiches UPDATED

Happy Veteran's Day to all of the devil dogs, squids, airdales, boonie rats, coasties and active duty men and women. And a bravo zulu to all reservists too. Veteran's Day is this Sunday and what does that mean for our vets besides a parade and a marathon of war movies on The Military Channel? Free grub, lots and lots of free grub.

No need to cook or buy groceries, various restaurants throughout Miami want to honor your sacrifice by giving you a free meal or two. But why stop at only one restaurant? A major city like Miami has nearly every restaurant chain known to man. It's time for the urban warrior in you to emerge. Get as much free stuff as you can in one or two days. Don your urban warrior boots and saddle up, time to get rolling. Here is a list of restaurants throughout Miami that are paying homage to our veterans.


BJ's Brewhouse at The Falls shopping center is giving away a free lunch entree or mini one-topping pizza on Sunday, November 11, to all veterans and active duty.

Yard House is offering $10 off your bill if you dine with them on Veteran's Day.

Bar Louie is offering a free meal for lunch and dinner on Sunday, November 11, and Monday, November 12. The giveaway is good for an $11 entree, plus drinks.

Hooters wants to give you a free order of 10 boneless chicken wings, however, a purchase of a drink is required.

Arby's: a free roast beef sandwich for Veteran's Day.

Little Caesar's Pizza is giving a free order of crazy bread to all veterans and active duty military on Monday, November 12. Not all Little Caesar's are doing this, so it is best to call ahead and verify.

Longhorn Steakhouse is giving away a free Texas Tonion and non-alcoholic drinks to vets and military on Sunday, November 11.

Red Lobster is showing love to vets this Sunday by giving away a free appetizer. You have a choice between many items including southwest chicken pizza, lobster artichoke dip, lobster pizza, lobster-stuffed mushrooms, etc.

Outback Steakhouse will be giving out lots of free Bloomin' Onions on Sunday and Monday, as well as free Coca Cola products to active duty and vets. You best be getting one too.

Urban warriors need breakfast. Einstein Bros Bagels

is giving away, you guessed it, a free signature or classic bagel from

any participating restaurant in Miami. The deal is good for operating

hours between 5:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. If that doesn't suit your fancy, Krispy Kreme is giving away a free coffee and a donut on Sunday.

International House of Pancakes is serving a real breakfast to vets on Monday, November 12 consisting of two eggs, two pancakes and a choice of two sausage links or two bacon strips.

California Pizza Kitchen will give you a free pizza and a drink if you pay them a visit on Monday. Dine-in only.

7-Eleven is giving away free small Slurpees on Sunday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

With any purchase at Coco's Bakery, vets and military can receive a free slice of pie (Sunday only).

Some Subway locations are offering a free six-inch sub to vets and military on Sunday. Call to verify before heading to your nearest location.  
 
On The Border will be giving away a free lunch voucher worth up to $10. It may be redeemed anytime between November 12 and 30.

On Monday, active duty or vets can stop into Red Robin and receive a free Red's Tavern Double Burger and bottom-less steak fries (unlimited!).

Chili's -- you know this restaurant loves its veterans. Stop in on Sunday and receive a choice between several entrees that include Cajun chicken pasta, Old Timer with cheese, chicken crispers, and others. And all dessert items costs only $5.

T.G.I. Friday's will be giving away a free lunch entree to active duty and vets on Monday, November 12 between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Still hungry? Take the all-you-can-eat pancake challenge at Denny's on Monday between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Come to Carrabba's Italian Grill for a free appetizer of your choice on November 11 and 12. 

Olive Garden is saluting veterans and active duty by giving away a free meal on Sunday. There are several choices but here are some of them: seafood alfredo, cheese ravioli, spaghetti with meat sauce and unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks (unlimited!).

Sweet Tomatoes, the soup and salad buffet, is giving away a free meal to vets and military on November 11 and 12, but a purchase of a regular priced meal is required. Bring a friend!

On Monday, November 12, between the hours of 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., Golden Corral is giving away free meals to anyone who ever served in the military. No identification required!

And there is Applebee's, an absolute mainstay for service members. They will be offering a free meal on Sunday from their Vets Day menu. Lots of choices: burgers, shrimp pasta, salad, etc. Dine-in only.
