Soccer fanatics stuck waiting for the 2026 World Cup can get their fix this April when downtown Miami transforms into a miniature fútbol paradise. Julia & Henry's food hall will host the Downtown Cup from April 25 through April 27, bringing a pop-up soccer field right onto Flagler Street.

The 5v5 tournament isn't just for show—winners score serious loot. The adult division champs walk away with five roundtrip flights to South America from Delta and Latam. At the same time, runners-up score dinners for two at Torno Subito, the new downtown Miami restaurant on the rooftop of Julia & Henry's by legendary chef Massimo Botturra.

Not Just For The Pros

The Downtown Cup welcomes players across three age groups: adults (15+), teens (11 to 14), and kids (ten and under). Each match features two 35-minute halves with a five-minute break. The beauty? No cleats required — come as you are.
Registration runs $20 per player with a $100 team fee. Sign-ups close on April 23, so move fast.

Can't commit to a full tournament? The 75x35-foot professional turf field opens for pick-up games starting April 21. Players can book slots through the Plei App by searching "downtown fields."

Post-Match Eats and Drinks

"This event is about bringing the downtown Miami community together through sport and shared experiences," says Julia & Henry's founder Daniel Peña. "Whether you're a soccer fan or someone looking to get in on the action, the Downtown Cup is all about creating a space where everyone feels welcome to participate.."

Julia & Henry's is cooking up more than soccer tournaments these days. The downtown food hall just welcomed B&D Trap BBQ to its roster of culinary outposts. The Texas-style barbecue joint brings pit-smoked meats to Miami, with a veteran pitmaster applying 15 years of expertise to every cut. From brisket to pork ribs, each meat gets the low-and-slow treatment for that deep smokiness Texans brag about.

Plus, that post-game hang just got more affordable with their new happy hour running Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Players can celebrate wins or drown sorrows with $5 beer, $6 wine, $9 cocktails, $8 well drinks, and $9 bites.
Tournament matches run weekdays from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and weekends from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., with the weekday games perfectly timed to catch those happy hour deals.
