Nearly two years after closing its longtime Lincoln Road rooftop location, Juvia is gearing up for a return, this time in downtown Miami.

The restaurant, which first opened in 2012, became known for its gorgeous views of South Beach and a menu blending French, Japanese, and Peruvian cuisines. It shut its doors in August 2023 after more than a decade of service, but owners Jonas and Alexandra Millán of Juvia Group announced at the time that the closure was temporary and tied to a planned relocation.

That relocation is now seemingly finally in progress. Juvia is set to reopen at Miami Worldcenter, the $6 billion mixed-use development taking over ten blocks in downtown. A banner reading “coming soon” remains live on the center’s official website. No opening date has been announced.

New Location, Same Restaurant Atmosphere

Juvia's new home will be a rooftop space within Miami Worldcenter, with an entrance at 652 NE Second Ave. The 12th-floor location will sit atop a multi-level public parking garage and is expected to maintain the open-air setting and city views that helped define the OG location.

The Milláns have said the design and concept will carry over, including the restaurant's signature greenery, panoramic skyline views, and eclectic dining approach. While no official menu updates have been shared, the team has indicated that some elements may be refreshed to reflect the restaurant’s new surroundings.

From Lincoln Road to Downtown

The original Juvia helped define rooftop dining in Miami Beach, offering a perfect combination of views, design, and pretty good food. Its departure from Lincoln Road in 2023 followed what the Milláns described as a shift in the area’s energy and foot traffic.

"Lincoln Road has been our home for over a decade," Jonas Millán told New Times at the time. "While the area remains vibrant, there have been shifts in foot traffic and the overall landscape...this move is an exciting new chapter for Juvia."

Once open, Juvia will join a growing roster of food and beverage offerings already operating at Miami Worldcenter. These include Maple & Ash, Serafina, Sixty Vines, Earls Kitchen + Bar, Brasserie Laurel, Chug’s Express, Go Greek Yogurt, Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, El Vecino Cigars & Cocktails, and Starbucks. The Museum of Ice Cream also operates a permanent location at the development.

The team has not shared additional updates on the buildout or timeline for the reopening.
