Keep Miami New Times Free
We’re aiming to raise $7,500 by April 26. Your support ensures New Times can continue watching out for you and our community. No paywall. Always accessible. Daily online and weekly in print.
This past weekend we set back the clock one hour. This coming weekend, we’re setting the clock back even farther … to 1969, a time when hippies chanted “make love, not war,” traded love beads and ate street food. Let’s put it this way, hippies were the OWS of their time.
Short Order feels the love, so we’re giving you Foodstock: One Night of Peas and Music this Saturday, November 12, in Wynwood.
Starting at 6 p.m., shop for vintage clothing and crafts at the Style Market Miami, presented by City Style Collective, enjoy live music, and eat from 30 of Miami’s best food trucks.
A DJ will spin tunes to get you in the mood, and at 8 p.m., get your
groove on to live music by Nil Lara and former Manchild lead singer
Demetrius Brown.
Foodstock coincides with Second Saturday Art Walk, so visit
some galleries and get your culture fix (and free wine) while you’re
there.
The food truck roster has just been announced and includes
The Baketress, Richard Hales’ new bakery truck featuring pies, cakes
and other sinful delights by Vanessa Paz.
Come out and share the love, the music, the food. Trucks serving dinner at Foodstock include Baketress,
