That's why there's always a pretty good show to check out almost every single night of the week, from indie rock to alt-country to rap. Sure, it sounds like a pretty eclectic mix, but that variety is one of the many factors that make Miami such a kick-ass city.

So show off that 305 music pride and check this week's five best concerts.

Neutral Milk Hotel. Wednesday, May 6, 8 p.m. Olympia Theater at Gusman Center, 174 E. Flagler St., Miami; 305-372-0925; olympiatheater.org. Tickets cost $30 to $46 plus fees via olympiatheater.org. Rock the night away with "the King of Carrot Flowers," Jeff Mangum and his Neutral Milk Hotel crew smack in the heart of downtown at the historic Olympia Theater at Gusman Center for what will be their "last tour for the foreseeable future."

Ryan Adams. With Jenny Lewis. Thursday, May 7, 8 p.m. The Fillmore Miami Beach, 1700 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; 305-673-7300; fillmoremb.com. Tickets cost $40.50 to $55 plus fees via livenation.com. Check out America's "modern musical treasure," Ryan Adams as the singer-songwriter brings his alt-country rock tunes to the Fillmore.

Action Bronson. The Mr. Wonderful Tour. Friday, May 8, 7 p.m. Grand Central, 697 N. Miami Ave., Miami; 305-377-2277; grandcentralmiami.com. Tickets cost $30 plus fees via ticketweb.com. All ages. Action Bronson be "out here actin' crazy." That's 'cause Mr. Wonderful's bringing "that all-night" tour to downtown's Grand Central this week. And since the "fire-spitting, pasta-cooking mound" will be in Miami, don't be surprised if you catch him "in a robe dancin' salsa."

Big Guava Music Festival. With the Strokes, Pixies, Hozier, Passion Pit, Ryan Adams, TV on the Radio, James Blake, Cold War Kids, Banks, Run the Jewels, Jenny Lewis, and others. Friday to Saturday, May 8 to 9. MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds, 4802 US Hwy. 301 N., Tampa; midflorida.com/amphitheatre. Single-day tickets cost $60 to $85 plus fees and two-day passes cost $115 to $350 plus fees via ticketmaster.com. Tampa may be a four-hour drive away, but getting the chance to see the Strokes, Pixies, Passion Pit, James Blake, and all of the talented artists at Big Guava perform live for 48 hours is definitely worth the trip. In the words of the Strokes: "You Only Live Once." So YOLO it up.

The Greatest Day Ever! Miami. With Just Blaze, Lunice, Salva, Brenmar, Twrk, Ape Drums, Chase B, Eauxzown, Mixa, Dza, DJ Schoolboy, Austin Millz, and Sean Bang. Presented by Thump. Saturday, May 9, 1 to 10 p.m. LMNT, 59 NW 36th St., Miami; 305-572-9550; lmntartsmiami.com. Tickets cost $55 plus fees via eventbrite.com . Ages 18 and up. Visit thegreatestdayever.com. "Booty-shaking beats" from Just Blaze, Brenmar, and all the music junkies over at LMNT. "A supersize beer pong table" and "a big puff of cotton candy." Must be the Greatest Day Ever!
