Ever woken up, looked in the mirror and thought, Dammit, I'm so handsome, this face should be on TV, or felt that you were destined for more than just your 9 to 5? Well, my friends, the time has come for your (potential) 15 minutes of silent, background fame. We're talking about being an extra on season two of HBO's Ballers

The show stars Miami legend, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as a retired football star working as a financial adviser. Set and filmed in our magic city, Johnson's Spencer Strasmore gets around town and lives that high-end lifestyle. And now, you can be one of those people who live around people like Strasmore and his crew.

"The biggest thing we're looking for when it comes to casting extras is capturing that upscale Miami vibe; very hip, attractive people," says Chris Bowe, extras casting director with Marinella Hume Casting. "That's one aspect of it, but of course anyone and everyone who's interested is invited to attend. The more the merrier."

The casting director says there's a fashion show scene coming up and they're hoping to cast some models — or slender girls with a fierce walk — "anyone who's involved in that type of Miami lifestyle."

We Miamians are known for many things — our beauty being one of them — but, like, let's not forget our surplus of Miami bro's. "We definitely would be interested [in Miami bro's], but for this particular piece, I know we need some rugged looking guys and extras for an upscale restaurant scene.Sometimes we need people for a low key dive bar scene — it varies, really."

Bowe and his team work episode to episode and don't know what scene they're casting for until they get the new script. Up next, aside from the fashion show and restaurant scenes, they're planning to film in Little Havana. Those who attend the casting on Saturday and don't fit the aesthetic for any upcoming scenes, Bowe assures that headshots and resumes are kept on file. So your background fame might not happen right away, but keep that hope alive.

As for those hoping to get a glimpse of the show's star, Bowe says it depends on the scene but "potentially" the Rock will be on site.

If you are to get casted, the standard rate is a little over $100 a day with overtime if shooting exceeds 12 hours.

"We expect our extras to show up on time, if you say you're going to be there, then be there. It can be a long day, and typically there's a lot of hurrying mixed with a lot of waiting, but our extras have fun with it."
