Valentine's Day 2016 Miami Restaurant Guide

It's not Valentine's Day yet, but it sure feels like it as nearly every shop in town overflows with chocolates and candies, lovey-dovey cards, and oversized teddy bears.  But forget the corny gifts. But forget the corny gifts. The real way to someone's heart is through their stomach. As the love-filled holiday quickly approaches, spread some romance with a dinner reservation at one of more than 50 restaurants offering multicourse meals. Beware: Valentine's Day is one of the busiest dining days of the year, so coupled or not, grab a plus-one and book in advance. Also, note that most prices do not include tax and gratuity. 

15th & Vine Kitchen and Bar 
The Viceroy's signature restaurant will feature a seven-course dinner menu for Valentine's Day. Menu highlights include three clam chowder with sweet corn, celery, and bacon; portobello and turnip napoleon with a ginger-soy mirin sauce; amarillo ceviche with shrimp, octopus, bay scallop, and amarillo sauce; mushroom gnocchi with seared wild mushrooms and truffle mushroom jus; filet mignon served with wild mushroom potato pave, tomato coulis, red wine reduction, and herb oil; and grilled cuttlefish atop squid ink risotto and whipped saffron potato. For vegans, a six-course menu is also available. Dinner for two includes a glass of champagne each and is priced at $170. Bazi
The Miami Beach eatery will offer a five-course, prix-fixe tasting menu priced at $75 per person. Menu items include dressed oysters, served with white ponzu, blood orange, and cucumber; sweet potato dumplings, a popular dish with chicken, fermented black beans, and Thai basil.; shrimp and crab udon, topped with pea tendrils, ginger, and soy; miso marinated grouper, with bok choy and sake burre blanc; and a molten chocolate bowl, prepared with passion fruit and Thai basil anglaise. Beachcraft

The Betsy
The Betsy's poolside candlelight dinner for two ($1,200) includes a customized three-course dinner on the pool deck. Menu items can include oysters, baked goat cheese, or crab salad as a starter; filet mignon, lobster, or dover sole as an entree; and dessert options include peanut butter chocolate mousse, crepe soufflé, or steamed merengue. Bianca at Delano
Bianca will offer a three-course, prix-fixe menu accompanied by a Veuve Clicquot champagne toast, available throughout Valentine's Day weekend. Menu items include tuna pizza with truffle oil; risotto all’aragosta, with fresh Maine lobster, carnaroli, and saffron; and for dessert, its concierto, which is a hazelnut espresso chocolate cake topped with mascarpone mousse and almond crumble served alongside praline gelato. BLT Prime
The steakhouse, located inside Trump National Doral, will serve a three-course Valentine's Day dinner priced at $65 per person. In addition to dinner offerings, couples will have the option of selecting the Perfect Match ($42), which pairs each course with a specialty cocktail or wine. Dinner menu items include tempura wild fire oysters, beef carpaccio, Alaskan halibut, a duo of beef, and sides of white asparagus and golden potatoes. BLT Steak

Bocce Bar

Bourbon Steak
For $135 per person, the restaurant will offer a three-course menu with options such as Mina's signature Maine lobster pot pie in a portion perfect for sharing, Hudson Valley foie gras, hay-smoked bone-in imperial wagyu côte de boeuf for two, and warm beignets with a trio of pot de crèmes. Byblos
Byblos will offer a four-course Valentine’s Weekend menu featuring delicious “middleterranean” fare perfect for sharing. Menu items include organic artichoke and lemon labneh, octopus kataif, roasted cauliflower, day boat black cod, yufka rolls, and hand roll couscous. For dessert, guests have a choice between krembo, yogurt mousse, walnut fudge, revani, hibiscus chocolate truffle, and Meyer lemon sorbet. Bulla Gastrobar
The eatery will offer a themed market menu, featuring pargo a la sal, or Florida red snapper baked in salt, seasonal vegetables, and ravigote sauce; carrileras de ternera lechal, or veal cheek fricassee, potato foam, and wild mushrooms; and brazo helado de mango y vainilla, or mango gelee roll filled with vanilla ice cream and yogurt. Cleo South Beach

Corsair by Scott Conant 
Lining the championship Miller Golf Course at Turnberry Isle Miami, celebrity chef Scott Conant's Italian-Meditteranean restaurant will offer a $99 per person Valentine's Day dinner. DB Bistro Moderne
Available all weekend long from 6 p.m. to midnight, the French bistro will offer a four-course prix-fixe menu priced at $155 per person. It features peekytoe crab salad or guinea hen terrine; followed by black truffle risotto and a choice of a tender duo of beef or butter poached lobster. End the meal with a strawberry and raspberry tart made with berry sauce and citrus yogurt ice cream; or a rich tiramisu chocolate bar, with cardamom foam and coffee ice cream. Sommelier Alan Feldman will offer special wine selections to highlight the dishes. Dolce Italian
Available on Valentine's Day, the Italian eatery will offer a four-course prix-fixe menu. Menu items include chilled seafood salad, risotto al porcini, a filet mignon and lobster tail plate, and meringata for dessert. Driftwood Room
Beginning Saturday, February 13, Driftwood Room will offer an à la carte menu featuring dishes designed for two. The "Things We Do For Two" menu, created by executive chef Alex Guarnaschelli, will be available all weekend in addition to the regular menu. Menu items include mozzarella caprese, truffled chicken, whole roasted fish, and red velvet cake. On Valentine's Day, guests can celebrate throughout the day with a Rosé brunch, featuring bottomless Whispering Angel Rosé for $25 per person. The Dutch
The restaurant will offer a three-course menu and a complimentary glass of champagne for $85 per person. Menu items include yellowtail crudo, steak tartare, seared scallops, Florida red snapper, and bone-in Manhattan steak. Essensia Restaurant & Lounge
The restaurant will offer a six-course menu prepared by executive chef Venoy Rogers. Appetizers include guava and brie, vegetable tartare, salmon and avocado, winter melon, and a salad medley, prepared with romaine hearts, artichoke hearts, celery hearts and hearts of palm. For entrees, expect truffle and cheese sacchetti, bone-in ribeye felet, chili dusted local snapper, and sunfresh farm and ranch organic hen. The Federal 
The Federal will offer a five-course menu at $65 per person with the option to include a wine pairing for additional $29. Menu highlights include crispy sweetbreads with sour cherry, celery root purée, and sous vide egg; brown butter gnocchi with corn bisque, rock shrimp, and parmesan; and adobo pork belly with green goddess, crispy rice, and lemongrass. The Forge 
On Valentine's Day, a special dessert menu will be included with each dinner. Desserts include hot lava “love” cake with fresh strawberry compote, vanilla ice cream, and cocoa nib crumble; key lime tart with roast white chocolate soil, cara cara macaron, and grapefruit; and tiramisu with amaretto, mascarpone, and coffee cremeux. Fooq's
For one night only, Fooq's will be serving a supplementary à la carte menu of savory aphrodisiac dishes. The special menu, crafted by executive chef Bryan Rojas, includes an uni and avocado terrine, kobe beef carpaccio, whole roasted rabbit, and a light scallop crudo. GK Bistronomie
The restaurant, created by chef Rafael Perez located in Wynwood, will offer a prix-fixe menu for $100 a person which includes two glasses of bubbly. Menu highlights include parmesan ceviche with grouper, parmigiano reggiano, aji limo, caviar, and cilantro sprouts; Maine lobster with beurre blanc fondue, braised leeks, applewood bacon, peas tendrils, and crispy leeks; Colorado lamb chops with white bean custard, cilantro sauce, onions, and salsa criollo; and Fanny Bay oysters with grapes and tabasco air. For reservations, call 786-477-5151.

Izzy's Fish & Oyster
At South Beach's newest seafood locale, love will be in the air all weekend long with Valentine's Day specials that will be offered in addition to its a la carte menu starting Feb. 12th through the 14th. Items include oysters and caviar, striped bass, and red velvet whoppie pies. For singles, the restaurant will offer an interactive bar experience among the tenders and oyster bar shuckers for $75 per duo to include, bottle of Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut, half dozen island creek oysters, choice of cold or warm lobster roll and a lemon meringue pie. Jaya
Jaya, the new Pan-Asian restaurant at The Setai, will celebrate Valentine’s Day with two menus: A five-course menu on Friday and Saturday and a special menu on Sunday. The five-course prix-fixe includes a coconut soup, scallop dumplings, tandoor sea bass, peking duck, and a chocolate variation of ganache, with raspberry, and chocolate sorbet. The menu is $98 per person. On Sunday, dinner begins with a choice of Japanese sebream or a trio of oysters. The second course features coconut soup, and the third course features a choice of Alaskan king crab merus or scallop dumplings. For the entrée, diners can choose between the yellowtail snapper or Colorado lamb chops. For dessert, expect “Chocolate on Fire!” which is made with cocoa bittersweet ganache, salted caramel ice cream, strawberries, and 151 proof rum. Katsuya South Beach
Katsuya will offer diners an $85 prix-fixe menu, including specialty items such as toro tartare, wagyu foie, whole lobster, chef’s dessert selection, and a complimentary glass of champagne. For more information, visit sbe.com/katsuya.

Komodo
Brickell's newest restaurant Komodo will offer a three-course menu for Valentine's Day. Menu items include tuna and toro roll, crispy wasabi shrimp, spicy beef dumplings, Chilean seabass, Hong Kong grilled lobster, and wild mushroom noodle. Each entrée comes with duck fried rice and Chinese broccoli gratin. For dessert, a chef’s sampler of chocolate will be offered. Each guest will receive a complimentary glass of Dom Perignon too. La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel 
On their closing day in Bayfront Park, La Feria del Mercado de San Miguel will host a Valentine’s Day celebration. A special “St. Valentine Meets San Miguel” cocktail will be offered, along with live music and various dining options. It's open from 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. 

La Riviera at the Pullman Miami Airport
Beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday through Sunday, La Riviera will offer a four-course dinner in honor of Valentine's Day weekend. Crafted by executive chef John Gray, menu items include an asparagus and truffle scented cappuccino to start; followed by butternut squash ravioli with lump crab and chardonnay butter, along with a choice of Maine lobster braised in late harvest riesling or prosciutto wrapped filet mignon; finish with a chocolate dessert course to share. The “Shades of Chef Gray” dinner will include a lock for each couple to place on the hotel’s fountain. The key will be thrown into the adjacent Blue Lagoon as a romantic gesture and symbol of the couple’s love. Pullman Miami Airport is located at 5800 Blue Lagoon Drive in Miami. Lure Fishbar
The seafood hotspot will offer a prix-fixe menu at $70 per person. Crafted by executive chef John Iatrellis, menu items include lobster bisque, tuna tataki, grilled black grouper, and seared swordfish. Dinner service begins at 6 p.m. For reservations, call 305-695-4550. 

Macchialina
The eatery will offer a five-course tasting menu priced at $75 per person. Chef Michael Pirolo created custom dishes including dressed oysters with burrata and caviar; yellowfin tuna crudo topped with avocado, preserved lemon, and truffle; truffled risotto with salsify and porcini; veal cheek crepinette with prosciutto, sage, and braised cabbage; and for dessert, molten chocolate cake topped with pistachio and cherry. Makoto
For Valentine’s weekend, Makoto will serve a four-course, prix-fixe tasting. Dishes include spicy tuna crispy rice; uni with fresh udon, yuzu kosho, myoga, and nekonbu dashi; and wagyu millefeuille with truffle, pickled turnips, and tonkatsu sauce. Meat Market
Located on Lincoln Road, the steakhouse will offer a rose giveaway for ladies and Meat Market chocolates for couples at the end of their meal. Ortanique on the Mile
In honor of Valentine's Day, chef Cindy Hutson will host a themed cooking class on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at $108 per person. Palmeiras Beach Club at Grove Isle

The Raleigh Miami Beach 
Take advantage of a three-course prix-fixe menu for $75 per person, available all weekend long. Menu items include kusshi oysters, with crème fraiche mignonette and hackle back caviar; filet mignon, with black onion crust and red wine braised mushrooms; miso seabass, with bitter greens, black rice, and bonito dash; and panetttone apple raisin bread pudding, with salted caramel, mascarpone ice cream, and walnut streusel. Red Ginger 
The restaurant will offer a five-course menu and a complimentary glass of champagne for $65 per person. Red The Steakhouse

Regent Cocktail Club
Forego a traditional dinner for a special edition cocktail making class featuring Veuve champagne cocktails. Rosa Mexicano

Diners can spice up their Valentine's Day with a Mexican four-course dinner, paired with a pomegranate-pink peppercorn margarita. The Floridian brasserie has curated a three-course meal with local and international ingredients. STK will celebrate the day of love all weekend long, offering a prix-fixe Valentine’s Day menu for two. The "Make Me Melt" menu will be available from Friday, Feb. 12th through Sunday, Feb. 14th, for the price of $250.

Sugar Factory
The restaurant, located inside Hotel Victor, will offer a prix-fixe menu featuring dishes such as brie cheese puff pastries and seared angus filet. The regular menu will be available too. The SoFi Italian eatery will offer an a la carte menu priced between $18 to $38. Menu items include tuna tartare, house-made tagliatelle, and risotto. The restaurant is offering a $59 shared plates menu. Items include a chilled seafood platter, parmesan crusted scallops, chipotle miso sea bass, and mojo bacon brussel sprouts. Expect chocolate sushi for dessert, which is hand rolled table side. For more information, call 305-372-4710.

Verde at Pérez Art Museum
Have Valentine's Day brunch at the museum restaurant. Menu items include pancakes, French toast, and a variety of sandwiches and salads. Specialty cocktails are available too. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. To make a reservation, call 786-345-5697.

Villa Castelli
The Italian eatery will offer a $75 prix-fixe, four-course menu, including seared tuna, fennel, orange, and arugula salad; truffle risotto with porcini Mushrooms; filet mignon with wild mushrooms, creamy polenta, and amarone sauce; and tiramisu. The menu is available Saturday and Sunday.
