Susser's Gastropub, Terrorist Goat Kebabs, J & W Snoozefest

The co-owner of Hanif Rajput Catering Service was arrested last week in connection with the NYC Times Square bomb case. What tipped authorities off were the Death To America Goat Kebabs on the menu.

Good luck to chef Allen Susser at his newly launched Gastropub venture in Delray Beach, although I've never cared for the term gastropub -- too closely linked to gastrointestinal. It's sort of like naming a place The Pancreatic Bar & Grill.

This past weekend, Johnson & Wales awarded Honorary Degrees to Jacques Pepin, Tina Zagat, and Eugene Zagat Jr.,; the latter two gave the commencement address. Rumor has it there were still a few people awake at the end of the ceremony.

Something to be thankful for: It's been months since a new pizza joint, sushi bar, or steak house opened around here.
