The Wallflower Gallery has been a cultural mainstay in downtown Miami for 12 years, from back when Miley Cyrus was still named Destiny Hope and Harry Potter had only two books about him. During that time, the folks behind the community arts space have never discriminated against any local art form music, literature, performance, comedy, photography, sculpture, and painting they do it all, providing a necessary oasis for us weirdoes in the otherwise concrete jungle.
Now its time to give them a little support. This Thursday is the Wallflower Gallerys VIP Cocktail Reception and Fundraiser, a pre-party of sorts for its 12th-anniversary blowout. The music will be provided by Carl Ferrari, Sonido Batido, and others, and your advance $35 ticket will get you all the cocktails and food you can guzzle between 6 and 9 p.m.
