When it comes to sexy circuses, Cirque du Soleil is not the only game in town. Enter Cirquesco, an exotic adventure where jaw-dropping gymnastic feats meet flirty burlesque. Brought to life by choreographer/producer/director Kevin Black, the show revolves around a lead player on a quest for meaning in the midst of a crazy world — a relatable journey if there ever was one. You’ll see song and dance with a sense of humor, from Argentine tango to Moulin Rouge-style coquetry. Outlandish outfits, romantic interludes, and alluring creatures take the stage for an acrobatic, multisensory experience that’s all about the L-word: love. Showtime is 8 p.m. Friday at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center (3385 NE 188th St., Aventura). Tickets cost $40 to $45. Visit or call 305-466-8002.
