Monday, October 31

Every Miamian knows Lincoln Road is the place to be on Halloween night. Before the sun sets, the pedestrian mall will be decked out in decorations as families lead their adorably costumed kids through an organized trick-or-treating. But the fun really starts at dusk, when Lincoln Road lights up with four stages featuring guest DJs and pop-up bars. Even if you aren't the dressing-up type, there is no better place to people-watch on Halloween. The costumes here are some of the best you'll see all weekend. 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday, at Lincoln Road, between Washington Avenue and Alton Road; lincolnrd.com. Admission is free. The tenth-annual HalloWyn Block Party descends on Wynwood for an epic bash that's hard to resist. Dress in your most extravagant costumes and live it up with some scary cocktails and heart-pounding music. Partygoers are welcome to capture their most frightening moments at the Instagramable spots in the area. There will also be themed activations for guests to enjoy — when they aren't dancing with the dead or drinking with the vampires. 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Monday, at Wynwood Marketplace, 2250 NW Second Ave., Miami; hallowynblockparty.com. Admission is free. Sophia Medina

It's completely unlimited. In addition to the suds, the festival offers food from local restaurants, live entertainment, and music. And for those looking to enjoy themselves a bit longer, VIP admission offers early access two hours before the general public gets in. 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, at Regatta Park, 3500 Pan American Dr., Coconut Grove; grovetoberfest.com. Experience a live painting session in Hôtel Gaythering's courtyard while meeting other queer artists at Queer Easels on Saturday. Comedian Nigel Ng blew up during the pandemic thanks to his alter ego Uncle Roger, through which he critiques (mostly) Western chefs' attempts at making East Asian cuisine. Uncle Roger's sworn enemies are colanders and chef Jamie Oliver, while his greatest love is undoubtedly MSG. On Saturday, Ng brings his Haiyaa World Tour to the Fontainebleau. Uncle Roger is sure to make an appearance, so consider donning an orange polo shirt in tribute. 8 p.m. Saturday, at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; bleaulive.com. Staged by Fundarte in collaboration with Miami-Dade County Auditorium, the work plumbs the depths of Almarcha's identity through sounds created from memories, places, experiences, and people. 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, at Miami-Dade County Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler St., Miami; fundarte.us. Tickets cost $17 to $37 via ticketmaster.com. Ashley-Anna Aboreden

Spanish producer Héctor Oaks headlines along with Brooklyn underground representative Volvox. Rounding out the local talent is Brukhein, Marysex, Winter Wong, Zei, and Pierre Louis. If you plan on attending, local promoter Stamina asks that you "don't be that boring person" and use your phone on the dance floor. Also, in order to create a safe space for everyone, make sure you understand the concept of consent and check your disrespect at the door. 10 p.m Saturday, at an undisclosed location; boilerroom.tv.
