It's not even Memorial Day yet and we're already looking forward to summer. But when you have got an awesome festival of flavor happening in your own backyard, why wouldn't you?

We're talking about the second annual Burger, Beer, and BBQ Bash on June 29 at Miami Circle.

This afternoon of food and fun (and burgers and beer) features food from over 20 of Miami's best restaurants -- all interpreting what a "burger" and "BBQ" means to them (so expect creative plays on just about anything that can sit between a bun or grilled). Then, pair these delicious bites with some great beer and you've got yourself one big party -- and a great kickoff to Independence Day week.

The event runs from 4 to 10 p.m. at beautiful Miami Circle in Brickell and features live music, pig races, a car exhibit, a burger eating contest and more.

Tickets range from $10 for general admission (buy your food and drinks as you go), to $125 for a VIP experience.

Purchase VIP tickets through Voice Daily Deals and pay only $45. That includes access to the VIP tent with pig roast, complimentary beer and spirits all day and evening -- plus access into the festival at 3 p.m. -- for an extra hour of "pigging out".

Keep Miami New Times Free... Since we started Miami New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Miami, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Miami with no paywalls.
