Britney Spears went fucking crazy, y'all.

Back in 2007, she was all over the place, shaving her head, driving with her babies in mama's lap, and releasing tracks like "Gimme More."

Everyone falls on hard times. But now Spears has to live out her demons in the public eye all over again. And all because her ex-manager, Sam Lufti, thinks he's owed some money.

But it works out for Crossfade ... 'Cause who doesn't love hearing about a pop star getting admitted to a psych ward, strapped to a gurney and spiraling totally out of control?

Lufti's case is that he had such a hard time managing the unmanageable Spears that he deserves more money from her Blackout album sales, as well as damages for being painted as a drug-peddling menace in a biographical book by Spears's mother.

But the Spears camp says he was all that and a bag of shit, a pushing the starlet to her breaking point.

According to Billboard, the family's lawyer Leon Gladstone said Brit's problems began with her messy breakup from Justin Timberlake (who wouldn't be sad over that piece of ass?) before getting worse with drug addiction and mental illness.

Her father Jamie stayed up with his daughter every night, Galdstone said, stuck in a "battle of life and death" with "Britney at her most vulnerable."

He laid it out dirty-style for the jury, telling of a worried father rushing to a hospital to find his daughter strapped to a gurney, screaming and yelling, believing his daughter's life to be in total ruin. Gladstone said Jamie Spears expected to turn on the TV and learn his daughter was dead at any moment.

The Spears family thinks Lufti is partially to blame, pushing her and feeding her drugs without knowing how to properly manage a star of such magnitude. When asked during deposition how he learned about the music industry, Lufti was quoted as saying, "It's something you learn by osmosis living in L.A."

Meanwhile, another lawyer told the jurors: "He was a destructive voice in her life. Sam Lutfi tried to take advantage of a very vulnerable Britney Spears. Whether he gets away with it is a chapter written by you, ladies and gentlemen."

So far, the only thing we know for certain is Britney Spears had one hell of a 2007. And we can't wait to watch this mess unfold.
