If you don't love free stuff, you're probably a supervillain. Here's where to fight the forces of evil in Miami -- and the best titles to pick up while the price is juuuust right.

Mac's Comics & Collectibles, Inc. (2678 SW 87th Ave., Miami; 305-226-5072) is throwing a hero-worthy affair in celebration of the holiday that runs from 10 am to 6 pm. Here are some of the free books that co-owner Farrah recommends picking up--while supplies last:

1. DH Star Wars Captain Midnight Avatar

A Dark Horse trio of awesome including Star Wars, Captain Midnight, and Avatar: The Last Airbender stories.

2. Infinity

The start of a Marvel Avengers/Thanos/Infinity storyline that runs all summer long.

3. Walking Dead Special

This special issue of the Walking Dead comic features popular short stories and a new Tyrese story. There won't be any reprints, so it is a great limited edition to scoop up if you're a fan of the comic, TV show, or both!

In addition to the free books, Mac's is holding a huge sale, offering 25% off everything in the store and 50% off their bargain bins. If you're farther north, you can always check out Villains (1788 NE 163rd St., North Miami Beach). Formerly Superheroes Unlimited #2, this store is also a Miami stop for some free books. Free Comic Book Day festivities start at noon and go on until the last freebie's been handed out.
