As a child, turning a year old means your parents will throw some party that you'll never remember.

But when a music and culture blog reaches the end of its first 365 days, the occasion should be commemorated with an Evening of Rock 'n' Roll and Debauch. So that's exactly what TuffGnarl.com is planning for Churchill's Pub on Saturday, September 20.

"It's going to be interesting to say the least," says founder and longtime Miami punk-scene figure Chuck Livid. "We'll see how the new Churchill's holds up."

What's going to be so interesting about it?

"We wanted to do an over-the-top event," Livid says. "We're trying to show the local scene that we're as committed to it as anything else. What better way than to get go-go dancers and six of the best bands playing in the state right now?"

TuffGnarl.com is all about rock 'n' roll attitude and everything that comes with it. The blog's staff patrols the Miami streets and the web to keep readers thoroughly informed on sports, fashion, politics, the arts, and everything else that's really important to the kind of folks who hang around places like Churchill's Pub.

Livid is really stoked to see his online publication survive its first year, so he's giving back with booze, bands, and broads.

The music will be provided by Orlando's Sacred Owls, along with South Florida's Jellyfish Brothers, Bleubird, The Riot Act, Sandratz, DJ Skidmark, and others.

Meanwhile, the babes will come courtesy of the very beautiful and very professional Carla X and her friends.

"Just to get all the boys and girls hot and heavy," he jokes.

It's an 18-and-up event, and cover costs $8, which might seem steep by Churchill's standards, but Livid and his crew are really going all out.

"Every band is getting paid a decent wage. None of the bands asked for a guarantee, but I made damn sure that they got one," he says.

"For $8, you're going to get a night that you'll never forget and the knowledge that you're truly supporting the scene."
