Miami's underground house scene has a new home, though it may not be what you'd expect.
Imagine sipping cocktails while grooving to a three-hour DJ set on a ritzy rooftop, looking out over the heart of downtown Miami while catching the sunrise on a Sunday morning.
Of course, we're talking about Slap & Tickle Afterhours at E11even.

"We wanna get people comfortable with the place, and we think it's worth it, because it really is unique up there and it sounds really good," says Slap & Tickle's Pirate Stereo, AKA Eyal Agai.
He and partner Santiago Caballero are stoked to run the 24-hour, $40-million joint's new Saturday party.
"It allows the craziness to go a little crazier, and it allows us to keep pushing the musical boundary around downtown into these really crazy hours of Sunday morning," Agai adds. "That calls for a switch up, musically."
This is where Caballero's signature marathon style comes in handy. He serves as the perfect musical anchor for the night, having just what it takes to curate a vibe that fits the mood, whether it's 4, 6, or even 8 in the morning.
"The thing that I really enjoy is that it gives us that extra time, that limitless quality to it," Caballero says. "Normally, you have to show everyone what you're about in an hour, but now you've got three hours to build a proper set."

Since E11even never closes its doors, Agai and Caballero consider it to be the perfect extra-late night setting for an afterhours bash.
Why compete with all the big-name DJs taking the headline hours? Instead, Slap & Tickle wants to give party people a place to enjoy Miami's best house DJs on a gorgeous, open-air dance floor until they decide it's time to go home.
"The night evolves very nicely, and it caters to the mindset people want," Caballero says. "It's funny because 3 or 4 a.m. isn't exactly early, but the earlier crowd will be a little more toward the party vibe. Slowly, as you get to 5 or 6 a.m., you get the sunrise, you get the afterhours vibe, people start moving more, and the night takes on a different character."
Because the crew never charges a cover, there's no reason not to show up for S&T's weekly post-party. Just say "Slap & Tickle" at the door. And if you really don't want to deal with the strippers, simply take E11even's special elevator all the way to the roof.
"We're grateful they chose us to lead this kind of party on a big night," Agai says. "It's one of their flagship nights, and we're going to work hard to keep it going."
