Though every day should be Earth Day, we make a concerted effort to celebrate our awesome blue-green planet only once annually. Given that all she asks for are 24 hours out of 365 days, it’s tough to make any excuses. You know deep down there’s no reason you can’t pitch in and show Mama Earth some love.
This year, why not give it a go as a Urban Paradise Guild volunteer at Arch Creek East Preserve? Slip on some gardening gloves, help remove exotics, and prep for native habitat planting. You’ll be protecting the preserve — good karma for sure. Also, the group has volunteer opps every single day, in case you can’t make this one. The session kicks off at 8 a.m. Tuesday at NE Second Avenue. Visit urban-paradise.org.
