And speaking of rock-star chefs, nobody shreds a recipe like Miami’s own Michael Schwartz, whose Michael’s Genuine Food cookbook is putting his genuinely good eats in the hands of home cooks everywhere. You can learn to rock ‘n’ roll in your own kitchen when the chef does an interactive culinary demo at Coral Gables’ ne plush ultra Biltmore Hotel on Saturday, April 9. From noon to 2 p.m. you’ll be cooking and eating a lunch of fregola risotto with shrimp, striped bass and chickpea salad, and milk chocolate cremoso with espresso parfait, all with the chef leading you so you don’t screw it up. You get in free if you're a hotel guest or Cellar Club member, otherwise save your pennies and make your (required) rezzies.
