Las Olas Cafe

No day in Miami would be complete without the smell of café cubano subtly wafting through the air. And no place on the Beach makes a richer, more potent version than Las Olas. Whether you're ritually grabbing your predawn coffee, a midmorning empanada and freshly squeezed jugo, or you're hungering for a homemade, hearty meal such as braised lamb shank, rice, and the best lentils in town, this corner Cuban café seems to be everyone's favorite stop. Fast food it isn't, but speedy it is, especially if you order from the shaded take-out window, or step inside and the girls will happily create you a plate of the day's hot fare. But be sure to bring cash — you won't need a lot, but they don't accept credit cards.
