A bottle of Wild Turkey, three packs of Pall Mall cigarettes, deer jerky, and Ted Nugent’s “Wango Tango” on repeat? Must be a Monster Jam tailgate. That’s right, y’all. The traveling circus of twisted metal and crappy gas mileage is slamming into the BB&T Center (1 Panther Pkwy., Sunrise) for a two-day, three-show rager beginning Friday at 7:30 p.m. If you’re not up to speed on the 2014 Monster Jam circuit, here’s all you need to know: Son-uva Digger, driven by legendary monster truck driver Dennis Anderson’s son Ryan Anderson, is annihilating the competition. The dude has already won eight freestyles, six major stadium races, and three Double Down championships. Ñooo! Most impressive, el tipo is superhumble about his success. “It has definitely been my best year — it shows in my stats, the numbers, the wins — but there have been ups and downs,” Anderson recently told Monster Jam’s Scott Douglass. “It hasn’t been a perfect year; you can’t expect that.” What you can expect, however, is a gnarly time on the relative cheap.
