While the world is still recovering from the intense action of the 2014 World Cup, Miami has been involved in a fiery debate about its soccer future. Superstar David Beckham’s plans to bring a Major League Soccer team to the Magic City have hit some speed bumps in the past few months, as local leaders continue to squabble over where to put a potential stadium. Enter a collaboration between the Coral Gables Museum and AIA Miami called Miami Soccer Stadium — Where or Where Not? The event will take place at the AIA Miami Center for Architecture & Design (100 NE First Ave., Miami) and will feature a panel of local leaders and experts. The discussion of the pros and cons of the stadium and its potential sites around town begins Thursday at 6 p.m.
