This Danish title character came to life as a newspaper column but quickly jumped to hardback and then film as her popularity exploded.

Tonight at the Abanico Theater in the Arts & Mind Center, Culture in the City presents the 2005 movie, which stars Mille Dinesen, at 7:30 p.m. Complimentary wine and cheese will be served at 7:00 p.m. Admission is seven bucks, but bring a little extra cash for popcorn (no dieting here tonight).
