With so many celebrity cookbooks, online recipe sites and cooking shows, it's pretty easy to be a good cook. You know what's really difficult? Being a truly lousy cook. The kind that burns water and thinks a Kraft Macaroni & Cheese dinner requires a stint at the CIA.
There's a true talent in being a really bad cook. If you think you're the worst cook in the world, Worst Cooks in America is looking for you.
Hosted by Bobby Flay and Anne Burrell, Food Network's Worst Cooks in America takes 16 of the most pathetic creatures to kitchen "boot camp" to try to bully some kitchen skills into them.
The winner will not only take away some mad culinary skills, but they'll also win $25,000 (which buys a lot of Pepto-Bismol).
If
you think you have what it takes to be on the show (which, ironically,
means you don't have what it takes to be a chef), the casting directors
want to see you ... in Miami!
Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
Name,
age, hometown, occupation (we hope it's not "chef"), contact phone
number and a recent photo. Also include why you think you're the worst
cook in America. It's probably a good idea to submit any hospital records, police statements, or a copy of the court transcript from when your ex-coworkers sued you after
eating that tuna casserole you brought to the pot-luck lunch.
Here's the online application form, along with all the details you need to know. You can also submit a video, which is helpful if you have footage of the kitchen fire or the time your children boycotted dinner.
