Village, yields a message saying "We are temporarily closed". Their website adds this: "We look forward to bringing you additional information on re-openings and new locations in the new year."
This first restaurant casualty of 2009 is something of a shocker. Abokado, after all, was an ambitious

project backed by big bucks and well received by public and critics

alike (although New Times wasn't as thrilled as some others).

Was

Abokado a victim of the wobbly economy? A victim of the wobbly Mary

Brickell Village? A victim of wobbly management? Yes, probably, and

possibly.
