There's nothing fancy about Taco Rico Tex Mex Cafe or the mini strip mall in which it's nestled. But this tiny, quaint neighborhood spot serves a wide variety of flavorful Tex-Mex items for a friendly price. The menu offers an abundance of everything you'd expect: enchiladas, tacos, burritos, fajitas, and tortillas. The steak and chicken combo fajita fares well with restaurant regulars, as does the fiesta platter, with a chicken enchilada, a steak quesadilla, jalapeño poppers, and taquitos (crisp taco rolls stuffed with chicken). The kitchen often runs out of fried ice cream. The sangria is homemade, and you might find a beer you've never heard of.
