Downtown Miami's new shopping and entertainment hub will open with a star-studded grand opening on Thursday, May 22.

DJ Irie and DJ Scotty B will host the celebration, with country singer-songwriter Lee Greenwood kicking off the performances. Also on the bill are rapper Flo Rida, reggaetonero Nicky Jam, and reggae singer Shaggy. Swedish EDM producer Alesso will close out the show. The event is free with RSVP.

As Florida's largest retail hub, Miami Worldcenter is set to feature stores like Savage X Fenty, Sephora, Starbucks, Hÿp Sneakers and Streetwear, and downtown's first Apple Store. With dining options such as Earl's Kitchen + Bar and Juvia, as well as a Lucky Strike bowling alley and a Museum of Ice Cream, there is something for everyone to enjoy. While the grand opening is a few weeks away, some stores and restaurants like Lululemon and Brasserie Laurel are open and ready for guests to experience.

Eleven thousand residential units are planned throughout the multiphase development. Among them is Bezel at Miami Worldcenter, which features amenities including a coworking space, a game room, a wellness center, a gym, a dog spa (don't worry, there's a human spa, too), and a pool.

Gallerist Jeffery Deitch and Miami gallery Primary helped curate Miami Worldcenter's public art program, featuring murals and sculptures from artists pivotal in creating downtown's art scene. Arguably, the collection's standout is Serge Toussaint's postcard-inspired "Welcome to Miami Worldcenter" mural facing NE Sixth Street.

Overall, the 27-acre and $6 billion development promises to intersect art, dining, and shopping with Miami culture.
