Amid the upscale restaurants and lounges in Hollywood's downtown district is the tiny beer aficionado hangout, PRL Euro Cafe. Wedged in next to Mauro's pizza, the extremely low-lit bar's atmosphere bodes that of a PBR-peddling dive bar, but the plethora of unique lager choices and casually hip clientele suggests otherwise. In the front of the narrow bar, small tables are scattered about, art from local talent adorns the sangria-painted walls, and a large vintage birdcage
filled with curiosities stands next to a thrift store-style couch. Behind the long, skinny wooden bar, ropes of twinkle lights snake around the glass shelves displaying beer bottles and tiny plastic helicopters dangle from the exposed ceiling pipes. Between the
eclectic artisan-meets-bohemian crowd, and multiple beers with an alcohol content of more than ten percent, a visit to PRL makes for an interesting night.
