There’s really no better way to spend Sunday funday than by eating and drinking alfresco as the cool Miami breeze blows. Which is precisely why the people behind the second-annual Flavors of North Miami have brought back the food, wine, and craft beer festival to the open-air plaza of the Museum of Contemporary Art (770 NE 125th St., North Miami).
A plethora of food vendors will vie for your taste buds. Cherry-pick from KIND Bars, Tijuana Flats, Whole Foods, Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, Alaska Coffee Roasters, and many others. To wash it all down, Uvaggio Wine Bar, Kobrand Wine & Spirits, Billy’s Pub Too, and Caribbean Export Supply will be on deck with some vino. Plus, FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management will put the craft in this year’s craft beer addition with the tapping of five local kegs.
A Krispy Kreme doughnut-eating competition, local dance troupes, singers, and bands will keep you busy till 8 p.m., while a kids’ zone with yoga, dancing, and an interactive kitchen will amuse the younguns and free you up for eating and drinking. The affair begins at 4 p.m. this Sunday. Admission costs $12 (or $5 for students and seniors with ID). Visit flavorsofnorthmiami.com.
