You’d have to be a truly naive soul to believe Alice in Wonderland was anything less than an amazing tale of one girl’s psychedelic trip. No one has ever taken the time to write a book about it, but we met that same hookah-smoking caterpillar in a dream, and between puffs of that magical plant, he told us RA Sushi is having a party using AIW as the inspiration. After all, a one-year anniversary begs for a little fantasy, and the Mad Hatter’s Sake-Tea-Ni Party has it to spare.

This Thursday from 7 to 11 p.m., the sushi restaurant will be abuzz with mad-hatted waitstaff, flavored hookahs, dance music by DJ Johnny the Boy, and the featured host: drag queen Daisy Deadpetals as the Queen of Hearts herself. And since it’s not a wonderland without food and drink, the restaurant will offer an “Eat Me” menu, featuring Smokin’ Caterpillar, Wonderland, and Cheshire rolls; and a “Drink Me” menu, with a Blushing Alice, a White Rabbit, and a Wonderland mojito, which adds blueberries to an already awesome cocktail.

Not only is there no admission, but also if you wear the craziest hat, you could win a $100 RA Sushi gift certificate. Pop a pill and fall into the hole, dahling.
