Meet New Friends, Discuss New Art

Networking has never been more entertaining or inspiring thanks to Life Is Art’s River of Art #12 Showcase and Networker. It will be held Tuesday at Brasileiro Miami (801 Brickell Bay Dr., Miami) and will highlight the artwork of Ernie Novo, Gustavo Ramirez, and Jennifer Maria. The three artists’ work will showcase different perspectives that could act as points of discussion for those wanting to make new friends at River of Art. Novo’s artwork focuses primarily on the human condition and shared experiences. Ramirez, a self-taught artist, finds inspiration from American abstract expressionism, neo-expressionism, and postimpressionist van Gogh, resulting in work that is steeped in tradition yet still accessible to the common viewer. Meanwhile, Maria uses digital photography to show her unique artistic viewpoint. The event also has a featured charity, Art Studio Miami. The nonprofit organization aims to empower young people through art by providing a safe place for students to learn expression from teachers, artists, and other professionals. River of Art will take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 with advance RSVP using River of Art’s discount code. Without the RSVP, tickets cost $20. Visit lifeisartfest.org.
