You might think your CD collection is the best thing since string cheese, but after one Thursday night at Amendment XXI, you’ll be begging for a peek at DJ Andre Soul’s playlist. “What makes this party a banger is that the classics are played throughout the night,” says Soul’s manager, Keesh. “The music selection is so great you will be dancing until the bartender calls last call at 3 a.m.” Each week at Soul Boogie, the music is a mix that will have you reminiscing about your first kiss, your first day of high school, or even the first time you were arrested.

From Cameo and Rick James’s funk to Madonna and Blondie’s pop, you’ll probably find yourself breaking out moves you haven’t used in years. Don’t worry -- the party’s free, so you won’t have to pay in dollars for your embarrassment, just in red-faced shame. And because the kitchen is open until 2 a.m., the food will distract your hands from unwittingly breaking into the snake. Or the robot.
