Does a cazuela count as a musical instrument? Porque los Marlins de Miami are letting fans bring hand-held instruments to the game on Saturday for Hispanic Heritage Night, and we want to feel like we’re celebrating a World Series win during the Marlins versus Washington Nationals battle. In addition to a free T-shirt (while supplies last) and musical interludes courtesy of the Marlins pachanga band throughout the game, Hispanic Heritage Night means pregame autograph sessions with some of your favorite “Hispanic Marlins’ alumni.” We’re keeping our fingers crossed for Cuban first baseman and occasional World Baseball Classic color commentator Orestes Destrade. With or without a wildcard spot, Saturday’s game against the Nationals will be an exciting one. The Fish have had an impressive year, and so have the Washington Nationals. But nobody expected the Marlins to be where they’re at after last year’s miserable 100-loss season. “Believe it or not, we’re still hanging around,” Marlins third baseman Casey McGehee told Miami Herald reporters after the team’s 4-0 victory against the Braves earlier this month. “The good thing is we won a series, and that just makes the next one more important.” The game kicks off at 7:10 p.m. at Marlins Park (501 Marlins Way, Miami).Tickets cost $20 to $235 via miami.marlins.mlb.com. victor gonzalez
