Nikolas Cruz's alleged social media accounts portray an individual obsessed with weapons, specifically firearms. He may have obtained the AR-15 rifle used in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas massacre around March 2017, based on comments he made on the photos. The photos also depict a box of 150 rounds of 45 millimeter rifle cartridges — the same type used in an AR-15 rifle — purchased in July 2017, when the suspect was 18 years old and legally able to do so.
