Itll be a bright night at the Homestead-Miami Speedway thanks to a high-tech lighting system specifically installed for this years Indy 300 season opener, which is sponsored by industry giants Linder Industrial and Komatsu. The high-speed event will be held at night for the first time in history, making for a unique experience for the drivers. You might even say that theyre raring to go.
Its always very exciting to race at home but to do it under the lights will be even more fun. Everybody that I spoke with loved the idea of a night race. I think its going to be a great show, raves South Florida resident and racing hero Tony Kanaan. Local fans can watch Kanaan go fast in the final race in the XM Satellite Speed Jam. This all-day event offers three exciting races, a free concert by Aussie rockers Jet, a barbecue competition, and carnival rides for the little ones who are tired of watching cars go round and round.
